This year we are grateful that despite the economy and cuts in funding,

Madonna Place has been able to remain open and provide crucial child abuse prevention

and intervention services to over 2,600 parents and children in Southeastern Connecticut.

This year has been challenging for us,

as it has been for many families and businesses in the community:

• Contributions, grants and funding are down by 26%;

• We’ve had to reduce our staff by 3;

• We’ve had to close the Supervised Family Visitation Program;

• The number of clients we serve is up;

• And perhaps most importantly, when the economy suffers,
  family stress increases, and the risk of child abuse and
  neglect multiplies.  That makes the demand for our services
  increase and the need for our services more critical.

In the Donations Room,
we accept seasonal clothing

in good condition,
for men, women and children.

We also accept
small household items, linens,
books and toys. 

We also accept food, diapers and unopened formula,

toiletries, personal care products,
arts & craft supplies,
office and kitchen supplies,
monetary gifts, etc.

Sorry, but we can not accept
used mattresses, stuffed animals
or car seats.
