Family Support Center
Group Facilitator
for Parent Education Program (PEP) required by
the Judicial System for parents experiencing a divorce,
separation or custody action. The 6-hour program
is designed to help parents learn about the impact
of their change in family restructuring on their child.
Course topicS include stress in children, child development,
co-parenting and other options, adjustment of children, dispute/conflict resolution, visitation,
community resources, and more.
Two facilitators teach the class (one male, one female).
Facilitators need a Master's degree in child development,
family life education, marriage and family therapy,
social work, psychology, counseling or closely related field.
Classes are held either during the mornings, afternoons,
evenings and weekends, generally on a rotating basis
usually once a month. Ideal position for someone who
wants a part-time position, or wants to supplement
their full-time employment elsewhere.
