The goal of Madonna Place's Family Visitation Center is to help family members maintain ties despite being apart. We provide a safe and nurturing environment so that children and parents may have comfortable, conflict-free access to each other.
The center provides developmental and age appropriate visiting rooms. There are books, toys, games, puzzles and various art media available for use during the visits. Parents are encouraged to plan and prepare for appropriate activities. The kitchen also is available for families to prepare and eat snacks together.
Each family is assigned a trained supervisor who will oversee each visit. He or she will interact in a manner which is respectful of the family's space together. The visit supervisor acts as a mentor, offering assistance with emotional support, parenting education, and activity planning as requested.
