Volunteer Opportunities

We are pleased to be able to offer a variety
of volunteer opportunities at Madonna Place!

We welcome people who have a skill or interest that matches with the needs
of the agency. Do you have hobby you would like to share or teach? Do you
have expertise in writing resumes?
Are you good with a paintbrush or light carpentry skills? We are always
interested in hosting craft activities
and
self-improvement skills, as well as

beautifying the agency.

College Students

College Students are able to experience hands on interaction, assisting staff members and working with families in
a variety of ways. We accept students
who will be with us for a semester or longer. The assignments and tasks may vary depending on the education, experience and amount of time allotted

to the agency.

Another great volunteer opportunity is with

The Nurturing Connections Program!

This program connects volunteers with
first time mothers through weekly telephone calls. The volunteers are able
to support moms in their new role by providing developmental and safety information about the babies as well as emotional support to new mothers during this exciting time. For more information please contact Jessica Basilica at
Madonna Place (860-886-6600 ext 120).

Community Service Volunteers

We also accept individuals who need to complete Community Service for non-violent charges. Duties may include but are not limited to cleaning, organizing, minimal office work, etc. Hours completed will be documented and a letter of completion will be given

to the individual at the time they have

completed their requirement.
